1 Stats 2 Computer Practicals

This website is the homepage for the Statistical Concepts II computer practicals.

• Each practical has an associated worksheet, which you can find from the menu at the top of the page.
• Practical materials will all be online-only (to save a small woodland of paper handouts).
• To keep a record of your work, it is strongly recommended that you download the script file for each practical, and use it to write and save your solutions.
• R code solutions to the practicals will be available on DUO the week after each practical class.

2 Getting your own copy of R

RStudio is free to download - (https://rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/).

R itself can be downloaded separately from (https://www.r-project.org).

To access some of the data sets used in the practicals, you’ll need the durham library - see this webpage for instructions on downloading and installing your own copy.
