Course content: Abelian groups and fields; vector spaces and linear maps; matrices and linear systems; determinants; structure of linear maps, Jordan normal form.

Midterms: There will be two midterm exams scheduled (approx.) for Fri, October 14, and Fri, November 11

Homeworks: There will be weekly homework assignments. The assignments are due Friday lecture of the next week.
