The GATIS Network and Durham University are organising a one-week school on integrabilty held in Durham from 6th to 10th July 2015. The school is intended as a training for advanced Master's students and doctoral students with an interest in integrability techniques. In order to create a pedagogical and informal atmosphere during the school, most lectures are designed and presented by young scientists with experience in the field. To foster interactions between attendees and lecturers, accommodation and meals will be provided in the nearby Grey College.
By applying you commit to attending the whole school and paying the school fee. Your accommodation (en-suite room in Grey College), all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for the duration of the school as well as social activities will be included in the total amount of £420.
Please apply before 19th April; late applications may not receive full consideration. Due to logistic constraints we cannot guarantee that all applicants will be accepted. We will inform you later in April on whether your application has been accepted. Successful applicants will then be informed about all practicalities (paying the fee, planning your trip to Durham, etc.).
In exceptional cases and subject to availability of funds, applicants unable to pay the fee may receive an exemption which can be given provided objective reasons only. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover any travel costs.
If you have read the text above, please proceed to the application form. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.
A list of airlines including destinations that operate at Newcastle Airport can be found on Wikipedia. When travelling with non-budget airlines it may be cheaper to book a return or multiple destination flight. Other close airports that are rather well connected by train are Leeds (1h), Edinburgh (1.5h) and Manchester (2.5h). The train from London takes about 3-4 hours. Note that prices for train tickets rise quickly and may be booked in advance online.
