Conference for Maths School Teachers around, but not excluded to, Durham City

An afternoon meeting aimed at Mathematics Teachers from local secondary schools:

12:30-16:00, Wednesday 14th July 2004 in the Shincliffe Room at St.Aidan's College, University of Durham

Some of the topics we will talk about are:

Outreach activities (Undergraduate Ambassadors, Student Community Action, Science Ambassadors).
How the A-level Mathematics syllabus feeds into our degree and specifically about our final-year module ``Mathematics Teaching''.
The results of a pan european test carried out in five european countries.

If you are a local school teacher and interested in attending we would be grateful if you contacted us by Monday 12th July 2004 there is no charge for attending this meeting. We would like the dialogue to be two-way so if have an activity in which you are involved and would like to talk about we would be delighted to make a slot available.

We think that this will prove to be a valuable opportunity for all parties.
