The International Baccalaureate and A-levels

The IB diploma is an international university entry qulaification, recognised by higher education institutions in over 100 countries. Dipolma students have to follow a broad range of subjects over the two years of the programme, but at the same time specialised in those subject eareas of greatest interest to them. Students are expected to to consider the nature of knowledge, to engage in community service and promote international understanding, valuing cultural diversity. The programme is offered in three languages, English, French and Spanish - see the report which looks at the academic performance of IB students at Durham.
