The Q operator, Bäcklund transformation and separation of variables

Abstract:

The relations between Baxter's Q-operator for the quantum integrable systems and Baecklund transformation for classical ones are discussed as well as their connection to the separation of varibles. The main illustrative example is the Calogero-Sutherland model.
